A personal story behind ONYX45
My name is Markus, and I’m the founder of ONYX45.
The idea behind ONYX45 grew from something I discovered about myself: I genuinely enjoy bringing people, ideas and projects together — and finding better ways for businesses to connect with the customers they want to reach.
Through my experience in sales, customer relationships and project coordination, I became increasingly interested in what makes a business stand out. Not just the advertising people see, but the strategy, communication and work happening behind it.
I wanted to build something that brought those pieces together.
That’s how ONYX45 began: with the ambition to create a growth partner that helps businesses move forward through paid advertising, B2B lead generation and hands-on project management.
The meaning behind ONYX45
The name ONYX45 carries a meaning that goes beyond business.
ONYX
ONYX comes from the gemstone, which I associate with strength, resilience and timelessness.
SISU
Those qualities also remind me of a Finnish concept called Sisu — a word that is difficult to translate directly into English. It represents inner strength, determination and the courage to keep moving forward, even when things become challenging.
To me, Sisu is not about never facing difficulties. It’s about having the determination to work through them, staying true to your values and taking pride in what you build.
It’s a philosophy I want to carry into ONYX45 — through the way we approach challenges, take responsibility and build lasting relationships with our clients.

45 holds an even more personal meaning.
It’s a tribute to my grandfather, who was born in 1945 and meant more to me than words could ever fully express.
By including his birth year in the name, I carry a part of his memory into something I’m building for the future.
Together, ONYX45 represents both the determination to keep moving forward and the importance of remembering where we come from.
